Candida Albicans yeast lives on and in all of us.
It is supposed to be there.
But, when things cause this yeast to overgrow,
it can get out of control and
health problems can surface!
A topic that is misunderstood and hard to talk about...
Misunderstood...
What they don't realize is that this term can describe many different localized infections of the:
skin,
nails
or even
mouth.
These localized infections tend to affect only one area of your body.
Candida Albicans yeast can also play a role in IBS, leaky gut syndrome or even diabetes.
Unless you have been diagnosed with
Candida or a systemic
yeast infection,
it is very unlikely that you know that a simple localized yeast infection may indicate a larger problem with systemic yeast.
Sometimes, you can have systemic yeast without having any symptoms of localized infections on your skin, nails, mouth or 'down there'. You might
be having digestive issues, bloating, gas or bowel troubles.
Do you know the yeast/Candida connection and causes?
Hard to talk about...
The social stigma that the phrase 'yeast infection' has makes it hard to talk about.
Who can YOU talk to about yeast infections and Candida? Usually if you mention these words, people right away think
of vaginal infections. But, there is so much more to it.
It is all this "uncomfortableness" that makes Candida and yeast infections
a commonly misdiagnosed, misunderstood and mistreated problem.
What makes this site different?
If you have done some searching on the Internet, you will notice that there are many, many
sites on yeast infections, Candida and treatments. I am personally amazed at all that is out there.
But, most yeast information
on the web is provided by government, medical and generic health sites - telling you the basics.
You may wonder how this site is any different?
One main difference is this site not only gives you the basics, it also
gives you the extra info you need - from a patient perspective.
It is driven by my personal journey and successes with Candida and yeast.
A yeast infection, Candida and any yeast related health issues are no fun. This site's goal is to provide you with
the most exhaustive,
comprehensive resource for dealing with yeast related troubles.
I will show you
what steps to take to
successfully treat
your yeast and Candida health issues.
Whether I like it or not, Candida Albicans yeast has affected my world.
The value and benefit for you, is that my story - a patient's perspective...an experienced perspective...a positive perspective -
may help you discover a link, a connection or
a new way to approach dealing with yeast-related health issues!
Maybe I can shorten your journey to better health.
I am always watching for and searching for connections to yeast infections and Candida and how to treat, manage and live with it.
Figuring it all out...
It has taken me years of reading and learning to truly understand the connections between Candida Albicans yeast and my total health.
It has taken me time to realize that it is sooooo common!
Yet still, no-one likes to talk about it!
Some of the causes like sweets, chocolate, and antibiotics and the
symptoms like infections down there or skin
rashes are little more well known or obvious.
But, other causes
and symptoms of systemic infections can be very hard to figure out.
For me, digestive issues and food allergies have played a large role in my battle with Candida. Sometimes I thought I was doing all the
right things with my treatment,
but actually I was making myself worse!
Fortunately, unlike many people with Candida, I have been very lucky that I have never felt really sick - like being bed-ridden.
Candida hasn't stopped me from achieving my goals,
but it has
hugely impacted
what I eat, how I view exercise, even what I wear
- basically how I live!
I don't take my health for granted.
I know that it is precious and if I don't stay aware of Candida,
that I may relapse into full blown systemic Candida and that it may take longer to recover the next time.
I realize that my immune system
needs a little extra support sometimes and plays a pivotal role in my battle with Candida Albicans.
How I stay healthy...
I wish I could tell you I have a quick fix for all your yeast troubles.
But, just like get rich quick schemes,
get healthy-quick-schemes may not be your best long term solution.
I also wish I could tell you that once your yeast infection and Candida is gone it will never come back again.
It might and it might not.
But, if you are like me, I now realize that I can easily get Candida overgrowth again if I don't watch what I eat, and do.
Yeast and Candida can be a struggle, but this website can help empower you to take charge of your own health.
I don't feel like a victim or want to blame outside forces.
Reality for me is that I am easily susceptible to yeast and Candida.
But an even better reality is...
What worked for me and continues to work is to set personal health goals and make a health plan.
You can too!
