  • What You Need To Know About Nail Fungus And Bleach:

You need about a 1/2 hour to do the treatment.

There is a little bit of preparation involved.

You need to take some safety precautions.

    Before You Get Started:

    Prepare your nails:
Trim your nails as much as possible along the top edge, not sides. This allows the bleach bath to penetrate the fungus under the nail bed. You can also file your nails. Filing the nail plate helps increase the porosity of the nail allowing the bleach bath to reach the fungus.

    Prepare the nail bath:
Use 1 tbsp bleach in 1 gallon warm water.

    Take safety precautions:
Chlorine bleach is a corrosive chemical that is hazardous and can damage skin. It must be used in diluted forms. The fumes are very strong and can be irritating for some people - make sure you are in a well ventilated space. Keep all bleach, even diluted bleach, away from children and eyes. Protect surrounding area from splashes or spills.

    3. Some like to split this soak into 2 soaks - one in the morning and one in evening - for 10-15 minutes.
    4. After you soak your nails, wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly
    5. Keep your feet, hands and nails dry and clean after treatment
