Blood Sugar Level Chart - Do You Need One If You Have a Yeast Infection?

A blood sugar level chart is critical for people who have diabetes. But is it as important for Candida?

When you have Candida, you will be more successful with your eating if you chart and keep track of what you eat, when you eat it and how you feel.

This is quite similar to how people need to record information for their blood sugar levels. For blood sugar or blood glucose recording, you might use a diary, log book or a blood sugar level chart.

A General guide for most people is to have the normal blood sugar levels be:

  • when you wake up - 80-120 or 4-6 mmol/L
  • before you eat a meal - 80-120 or 4-6 mmol/L (target is 4-7 mmol/L)
  • 2 hours after you eat meals - 160 or less or 5-8 mmol/L (target is 5-10 mmol/L)
  • when you go to bed - 100-140 or 5-8 mmol/L

  • It is always best to talk to your doctor or health care provider about what the best blood sugar levels for you are.

And, if you are having reoccuring yeast infections or chronic Candida, you may want to talk to your doctor about testing your blood sugar levels to see how they are doing.

A blood sugar chart is useful for diabetes, but don't worry about it for Candida.

With an anti-Candida diet, you have enough 'on your plate' to think about already. As my naturopath says..."let's not go looking for problems unless necessary."
