Cure yeast infections with these treatments - whether you are male or female.

Treatments for yeast infection like garlic, herbotox or hydrogen peroxide can be used by men and women.

garlic

Try to use fresh garlic regularly in your cooking due to its' antifungal properties, but also be cautious about garlic.

Sometimes people are desperate for some relief from a vaginal yeast infection, one treatment to try is a clove of garlic in some cheesecloth as a vaginal suppository treatment.

Be careful to not knick the clove and use a whole unmarked one.

Some people love this home remedy - it is easy, inexpensive and all natural.

But some people have had real problems with using garlic. It can burn and make everything irritated more. Sometimes it can make things feel worse.

Garlic will not work to cure chronic, severe yeast infections, but it can work very well for the occasional yeast infection.

Head and Shoulders

This has got to be one of the easiest treatments for Candida skin rashes.

If your skin is feeling itchy and you seem to have a bit of a skin rash starting, consider using head and shoulders shampoo as a body wash in the shower.

It might help head off the rash and keep it in check.

The active ingredient in head and shoulders shampoo is Pyrithione zinc 1%.

Herbotox capsules

Herbotox capsules from Genestra can be used during your Candida treatment to cure yeast infections.

It promotes liver and kidney detoxification and drainage. Candida albicans overgrowth can overload the liver with toxicity and cause liver dysfunction.

I took 1 capsule 2 times per day with meals.

homeopathic medicine - phenolic Candida 1 and phenolic P'sites

The phenolic medicine I was prescribed by my naturopath was called Candida 1 and P'sites.

hydrogen peroxide

You can use a diluted mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water ( 1 tsp of 3% hydrogen peroxide mixed with 1 cup of water) to cure yeast infections.

Use this as a douche for vaginal yeast infections or apply it with a moistened cotton ball to itchy areas.

It works very well on mild to moderate yeast infections as long as there is no broken or really irritated skin.

Hydrogen peroxide is produced naturally by our bodies and works well to fight Candida.

moisturizer

I admit, I am a moisturizer addict. I have to say though, that it doesn't help at all with Candida skin rashes.

Monistat

Monistat is an over the counter (OTC) anti fungal cream for treating and to cure yeast infections.

After using it for an extended period, some people begin to react to it. Your skin and tissues may become inflamed, irritated and red whenever the product is used.

As well, it is common for persistent Candida to build up a resistance to certain anti fungal medications over time. This is another reason for using a variety of anti-fungal treatments to fight and cure yeast infections.

multi-vitamin

For years, I used Centrum once a day multi-vitamin.

However, I learned that if we take too much vitamin in one shot, our bodies just get rid of it in our urine.

The extra vitamin is wasted.

Consequently, I began using a vitamin that I needed to take 3 times a day. I took it with meals.

The thought process behind this is that 3 shots of vitamins throughout the day can be absorbed more gradually in our system. The vitamin I began taking was New Chapter Organics Every Women multivitamin.

The bad thing with this vitamin is that I find it a little hard to buy this vitamin locally. There are very few stores that carry it so often I need to order it in.

Another challenge is that sometimes I forget to take all 3 if I am on the go and not eating all my meals at home.

A third con is that they are also quite pricey.

However, they were the only ones that I tested as tolerating during the height of my Candida albicans overgrowth. So, I took the plunge and began using them. They were well worth the effort and money investment at the time and I like to keep a good thing going... so I have continued taking them.

They are available in a 1 a day capsule form as well which I may switch to in the future if I can't get better at remembering to take them all.

Nitric Acid

I took 5 pellets of nitric acid, (little round balls), 3 times a day for 10-14 days.

Nitric acid helps heal ulcers on our mucous membranes, specifically in the mouth, throat, and vagina. I used it as an oral treatment for vaginal yeast infection symptoms and to cure yeast infections in my system.

Nizoral

Nizoral can be used as a body wash in the shower instead of Head and Shoulders shampoo for treating yeast infections on your skin.

The active ingredient in Nizoral is ketoconazole.

Research shows that it helps to use different antifungals for skin rashes.

A little of the Nizoral shampoo goes a long way and it is affordable.

olive oil

If you don't have any vitamin e oil on hand, olive oil can be used instead. The olive oil helps alot with vaginal cuts and dryness. It does not cure yeast infections.

(A little unconventional I know, but maybe the extra virgin olive oil will turn back the hands of time??)

P

pau d'arco tea

This is a tea I bought at my local health food store. It comes in a loose form as Pau d'arco bark. It has a bit of a sweetness to the taste of it.

I liked it and try to drink a cup of tea every now and then. During my treatment, I drank a cup or two daily.

The antifungal properties in Pau D'arco tea support the fight to cure yeast infections.

permaclear

Once my system was clear of Candida and I was finished trying to cure yeast infections, I began my leaky gut repair.

I took 4 capsules of Permaclear a day with meals.

Permaclear supports proper functioning of my intestinal lining, a balanced immune function and healthy digestion

polysporin - antibiotic cream

I tried polysporin on my skin rashes during a brain freeze moment. Obviously, the antibiotic cream did not help a Candida fungus rash - since antibiotics feed the yeast!! Needless to say, I didn't use it again.

psyllium husks

I like to always keep some psyllium husks on hand. I use them once a month or so.

I mix about a tablespoon with 8 oz of water.

Once stirred, they float to the surface quickly, so I try to stir and drink without waiting.
