Is A Dual Cleanse Right For You?

A dual cleanse is based on a popular product called Dual Action Cleanse. It combines 2 dietary supplements called Colon Clear Formula and Total Body Purifier.

The Advantages Of A Dual Cleanse:

You may have seen the dual action cleanse program online, heard about it from a friend or know about it from TV. Supporters of the product swear by it and claim that they have never felt better.

If you go to the Dual Action Cleanse website, there are many testemonials about how great the products are. The company, Cellular Research, claims that their products will "enhance elimination of built up toxins and waste matter" and also support the liver, purify your blood, enhance bloodflow, support digestion and stimulate cleansing.

Other websites claim that you can lose weight, get rid of toxins, poisons and so on and so on.

The Disadvantages Of A Dual Cleanse:

The two dietary supplements used as part of the Dual Action Cleanse program contain more than 40 different herbs and ingredients. It is really hard to know how your body will react to all of these ingredients. You may be allergic or sensitive to one of the herbs and end up feeling worse that before you started. That is one of the reasons why the manufacturer says 'results may vary'.

The fine print on the Dual Action Cleanse website states: Usage Warning: Do not use if safety seal is broken. This product contains caffeine and may affect blood pressure and/or heart conditions. Check with your doctor before using this product if you are using medication or have any medical conditions. Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing. Do not exceed recommended daily intake. Not intended for use by persons under 18.KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Store in a cool, dry place. WARNING: (State of California Prop 65) This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Like with any supplement that is not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration, you need to use this product with caution. Even better, don't use it until you have checked with your health care provider - you may be surprised what they say.

Some well-known doctors are not very supportive of colon cleansing.

Dr.Oz says on his website that the only reason to get a colon cleanse is if you enjoy the feeling (after asking his audience only 1 or 2 said that they 'enjoyed' colon cleansing). He said that if you want bigger bowel movements, all you need to do is drink water and get plenty of extra fiber because humans have done it this way all their life. Dr. Oz makes a point of the fact that fecal matter (poop, as Dr. Oz calls it)does not get stuck in your colon for 5 years if you don't colon cleanse. Colon cleansing isn't necessary according to Dr. Oz.

Dr. Weil on his website states: "The entire lining of the colon sloughs off and is regenerated every day. If you are eating well, drinking enough water, and getting enough physical activity, your regular eliminations will be sufficient to keep the colon clean and in good working order". (although he does sell a sea salt flush??).

The Doctors TV show did a segment on colon cleansing and the overwhelming conclusion was no, no and no to colon cleansing.

A final disadvantage of the Dual Action Cleanse is the cost. You could end up spending (or, wasting) alot of money on a controversial 'health' product you may not need.

But Can A Dual Cleanse Play A Role In
Candida or Yeast Infection Treatment?

Definitely some of the Candida and yeast infection symptoms can be irregularity, constipation, gas, diarrhea or bloating - all symptoms that might make you think your plumbing system isn't working the way it should.

And, you are right, something is not right if you are experiencing these symptoms. But, a dual cleanse with all these ingredients may cause you more harm than good.

Due to the controversary with colon cleansing, it would be a really good idea to talk to your doctor before trying it. Otherwise, you may just be flushing money down the drain!

Water, fruits and vegetables will all help your body be the perfect cleansing machine that it should be. And, all of these things are part of a balanced healthy diet and will help you fight the yeast, not feed the yeast. (**Except watch your fruit intake depending what stage of your healing you're on - the natural sugars will feed a yeast infection.)
