Skin Yeast Infection
Cutaneous Candidiasis
The most common skin yeast infection is caused by an overgrowth of Candida Albicans.
Candida Albicans lives on our skin. But, when the outer skin layer breaks down, yeast can overgrow.
This overgrowth, or skin yeast infection, occurs in warm, moist environments like the skin folds under women's breasts,
in your armpits, groin etc.
Sometimes a skin irritation is called Intertrigo. This is when moist skin rubs together causing friction. Bacterial or fungal infections can
happen in the irritated skin.
Skin yeast infections can be caused by Candida Albicans yeast or other molds and fungus.
